+information derived from:  credits @ the end of each and every single episode that Tokyopop has released.  There might have been some cases where I typed up a name wrong/misspelled it, OR I did copy the name word to word directly from the credits, so it's a typo on Tokyopop's part.

>>It's rough keeping track of EVERY little actor/actress change for a character...  Either I'm listing something wrong or Tokyopop is...
>>In some cases, the credits listed at the end of SOME of the episodes has SOME inaccurate/ totally wrong information (wrong first name of a character, misspelling, or crediting a character NOT IN THE PARTICULAR EPISODE).  I've made sure to NOT note those mistakes... and have the correct information below.
>Mistakes listed in the US Version Credits (which does list both the English and Japanese voice casts):
1)  character 'Anko Uehara' referred to as 'Kyoko Uehara' (practically every time...)
2)  Kikuchi's voice actor 'Hikaru Midorikawa' referred to as 'Hikari Midorikawa' (from Lesson 3 all the way up to Lesson 33; from Lesson 37 on the correct spelling is used-yes it took them about 8 DVD releases to get it right...)
3)  DVD # 7-Lessons 28-31:  'Koji Sanomaru' was NOT in this episodes (VOICE WISE).  The character Tokyopop SHOULD HAVE used/credit was 'Koji Fujiyoshi.'  It's true that the first name of 'Koji' might have confused some people... but still...
4)  DVD # 7-Lessons 28-31:  'Tadashi Sakurada' was mentioned TWICE in the credits.  The character Tokyopop SHOULD HAVE credited (first) was 'Tadaaki Kusano.'  Now this was just a stupid mistake...
5)  DVD # 9-Lessons 37-39:  The English voice actress for 'Naoko Izumi' was NOT listed.
6)  DVD # 9-Lesson 37 & DVD # 10-Lesson 41:  The other 2 boys of the 'Gundam Club' was not listed.  I've listed the names of those characters below (based on their manga appearance), but as for who did them will remain a mystery.

+It's really simple.  I separated the major characters (first name, then last) from the minor ones on this page.  The major ones are located on in the white section, while the minor ones are located in the multi-colored tables near the bottom.
+I've included pictures of the characters when available/as space permits, to remind you what the character looks like.  Believe me, you won't find any other site which has pictures of almost every character... main or not... important or just a plain nobody... that has appeared in the anime version of Great Teacher Onizuka.
+In certain (or numerous) cases, certain characters had their voice actors/actresses/seiyu change as the series went on (for some reason).  In this case, I've listed the episode[lesson] # to give credit to who did the character in that particular episode.
+Why are some of the names underlined?
It's part of the new revision I made for the page (to make the page look neater in a way).  If you wish to learn to know what other anime characters that the actor/actresses have done, just click on the name.  You'll be then be taken to the bottom of the page (the third part)... where the actor/actress has at least one link besides his/her name.  Click on/select the available/provided link(s) to go to selected sites which has the information you seek on the voice actor/actress. 

KEEP IN MIND THAT AN ACTOR or ACTRESS MAY BE GOING BY A DIFFERENT NAME WHEN THEY DID IN GTO!!!  THE NAMES LISTED BELOW WERE THE ONES LISTED/USED IN THE CREDITS!!!  IN SIMPLE TERMS, SOME PEOPLE USE MORE THAN ONE NAME-SO DON'T PANIC IF YOU DON'T IMMEDIATELY RECOGNIZE (by name or by voice) WHO THE PERSON IS!!!
